Welcome to Grassroots Montana
MONTANANS for Responsible Energy Development (MRED) is a
Montana-based grassroots citizens non-profit group.
MRED advocates for responsible natural resource and energy
development in Montana to help build and strengthen Montana’s
state and local economies.
MRED’s goals are to encourage responsible development of
natural resources and energy such as wind, water, land, coal,
natural gas, hydrogen, coal bed natural gas, ethanol,
bio-diesel, oil, solar, all other sources of energy,
irrigation development and value-added agricultural.
MRED’s goals include supporting new energy projects,
promoting the development of new and updated transmission
lines, develop a strong and informed membership base, strive
to work with all involved, and support the development of an
energy policy in Montana.
MRED supports the responsible development of eastern
Montana’s natural resources to increase the tax base and
create new jobs for Montana’s communities. The development of
resources will provide a more stable tax base for the
taxpayers and discourage out-migration by the young people in
the eastern Montana areas.
MRED is controlled solely by Montana citizens who are the
only voting members.
MRED works to bring citizens together on a common goal: to
encourage and support responsible natural resource development
to grow the economy of Montana. Montana holds vast natural
resources that can be developed responsibly and these
resources will provide much-needed jobs and tax base for
Montanans.
Everyone is encouraged and welcome to join. Please lend
your support to helping create a stronger economy for our
families and communities.
